GAMES POWER
Edward Del Rosario's paintings deal with themes of conquest, power and control. His characters, such as two-dimensional isolated from the surrounding vacuum, do not stand or in a specific place or in a defined time. Transmitted all something sinister, that disturbs the eye, perhaps because no emotion shines from the stares and poses alternately imperious and submissive. The ambiguous figurines are dressed as Japanese women, young people from whose arms sprouting branches, crowns emperors unidentified, hooded men, fire, weapons and monstrous animals. The paintings, all of small size and characterized by fanatical precision, are finely detailed and carefully designed with impeccable technique and style that recall the simplicity and purity of Japanese haiku. The delicate miniature finely chiseled will assist in the urgent command and control over the grace opposed to oppression, and the second logical explanation is that we find, and compare.
