MIGRATION FLOWS

Dwelling on Sebastião Salgado's images means getting in touch with worlds and people far away. It means to clarify the dynamics of migration flows of population, refugees and those of refugees, migrants to the megacities of the Third World. But its realistic representation of distant populations does not stop at simple, hard and goes beyond documentation. It moves between the search for purity of expression, composition and the constant discovery of reality, made exclusively in black and white, with the express desire not to distract from the image with the color of emotion. The double search Salgado, stylistic and historical, refers to his desire to convey the difficulties that we ignore, for better impact in the memory with images of life and protest in order to give the other side of the world, awareness of ' global existence of strong contradictions. His photographs are loaded with a rarefied atmosphere, and adjourned without allowing time to grasp the particularly deep, they are an exercise in reportage militant, whose commitment to social, civil and search for technical perfection and stylistic blend perfectly.
